JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

 

1. AUTOMATION ENGINEERS DRP [PHASE 3]

 

Department           : Phase 3

Job Location         : Sohar, Oman

No. Of Vacancy    : 2

Salary                    : US$ 4054 – 5539 / month

 

The desired candidate must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field, and must have knowledge in the following:

1.    Ensure system availability by maintaining level 2 system hardware and software

2.    Ensure proper functioning of Steel Melting Plant Level 2 functions as listed but not limited to:
a. Level-1 interface monitoring and diagnostics

b. Models & Services (Problems recovering, Performance monitoring and parameter tuning, back-up and recovery)

c. Oracle Database (System monitoring and optimization, Security administration, Data analysis, back-up and recovery)

4. Modification of OWS and PWS as per process requirement

5. Developing and maintaining Level 2 reports and Web page

6. Maintenance of Hardware and Networking

3.  DRP Level 2 Modules: Ensure proper functioning of DRP Level 2 functions as listed but not limited to:
a.  Raw Material Stockyard Management
b.            Finished Product Stockyard Management
c.   DRP Production report
d. DRP Process reports generation and data-analysis
e. DRP Delay Report
f.   DRP Consumption report

4. Fully conversant with WinCC HMI and SCADA package • In-depth knowledge of MS Visual C, Delphi, Visual Basic software programming and Oracle Database developer and administrator • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software • Ensure system availability by maintaining level 2 system hardware and software

 

Also, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering is a must.

2. CONVEYOR OPERATOR [PHASE 3]

The desired candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the following:

1.    Steel industry as Stacker/Hooper/Conveyor operator

2.    Safety aspects of conveyors, hoppers and stackers

3.    Equipments and controls

 

Minimum 10 years (full time) of school education, additional technical educational background is preferred.

The deployment schedule of this position is June/July 2010 and will be based in Sohar, Oman.

3. ENGINEER CONDITION MONITORING (MH + DR) [PHASE 3]

The desired candidate must have a mimimum of 5 years experience in the following:

1.    CSI,Machinery Health Manager and Machinery analyzer 2130

2.    CSI,Machinery Health Manager and Oil analyzer 5200

3.    Infrared system, FILR P65 Camera

4.    Bently Nevada Online Systems, CSI, Onsite Balancing system, Laser Alignment systems, CMMS, SAP System, and KARL-STORZ ENDOSKOPE System

 

Also, any of the following degrees is a must:

a.    HND High National Diploma

b.    BS Bachelor of Engineering Degree

c.    Master of Engineering Degree

d.    PHD of engineering

4. ENGINEERS - ELECTRICAL [PHASE 3]

The desired candidate must have a minimum of 4 years working experience in a related field, and must have knowledge in the following:

1.    Review daily electrical maintenance work orders and classify them into corrective or preventive maintenance categories

2.    Study all electrical maintenance requests and prioritizes them in order of importance

3.    Prepare daily management reports based upon analysis of previous day’s activities

4.    Assist Head of section in ensuring proper spare parts management

5.    Fully conversant with HYL Direct Reduction process

6.    In-depth knowledge of Level 1 Automation systems related to DRP process

7.    Experience on maintenance of processing equipment (Medium Voltage Substations, Transformers, Switchgears, PLCs, Drives, Motors etc.)

8.    Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software

 

Also, Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering is a must.

3.    Operating large pumps, compressors, steam turbines

4.    P & ID, PFD knowledge

5.    Field Data logging and identify abnormalities

2.    Knowledge on start ups and shutdowns and emergency handling.

3.    Experience in Siemens / Honeywell / yokogawa control system operations

4.    P & ID, PFD knowledge Control of process parameters within the set limits, awareness of interlocks and safety matrix, logic diagrams

5.    Total Industrial experience

 

Also, Graduate in Science or Engineering degree is a must.

9. PLANNER [PHASE 3]

The desired candidate should have minimum of 6 years experience in any major Steel Plant or Heavy Engineering Industry.

It is also an advantage to have the following:

1.    In Maintenance planning of preventive & corrective maintenance, scheduled maintenance, capital maintenance, long term planning data analysis, preventive maintenance scheduling, scheduled maintenance planning and overhauling of equipment

2.    Prepare long and short term maintenance planning and overhaul programs for equipment and facilities

3.    Creation/maintaining history of data-SAP-Excel

4.    Closing of work orders PM/CM- SAP

5.    Plant stoppage job list finalization & tentative scheduling (Microsoft project)

6.    Good computer knowledge

7.    SAP Experience

10. PROCESS ENGINEER [PHASE 3]
